Ms. Pat's Nature Club

Ms. Pat's Nature Club is a blog for anyone who is a nature nut and loves nature, no matter what age you are. I hope you will let me know what you think and give me feedback. I love to hear from my friends!

"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better."
-Albert Einstein

"Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you."
-Frank Lloyd Wright

"Treat the earth well. It was not given to you by your parents, It was loaned to you by your children"

-Native American proverb

"Teaching children about the natural world should be treated as one of the most important events in their lives."

-Thomas Berry, Dream of the Earth

"If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, the excitement and mystery of the world we live in."

Nature Club for May 10,11,12

The Nature Clubs on Tuesday, May 10, were able to go outside and look for living things. We looked for plants and animals. We talked about how to treat any animals we found (gently) and when it was okay to pick flowers and other plants. We found a lot of anthills that we observed carefully without disturbing the ants.
On Wednesday and Thursday, May 11 and 12, it rained so we stayed inside and talked about how we should treat the animals we find. I read Under One Rock by Anthony J. Fredericks and reminded everyone to "Watch for Nature!"
